Photography literally means “writing with light.” So above all, my job is to tell a story. Your story. And your story is best told when you are being you. Therefore, photography needs to be about capturing what’s there; the things that are easily seen, and things that may not initially be seen. I want to capture the natural, candid moments; life as it happens. Friends, family, loved ones- in laughter, and in tears. I prefer to capture things naturally, but I feel more than comfortable creating moments when necessary. I always strive to give my clients a strong variety of pictures they can choose from.
My #1 goal whenever I shoot is for people to have fun. When you’re having fun, everything looks better! In over seven years of doing photography, that has been a clear resonation from my clients: They had fun. They felt comfortable being in front of the camera. They were themselves.
When you begin to search for the perfect photographer, you want to connect with the photographer’s style; how they shoot, what they shoot, and how they edit. Maybe more importantly though, you want to connect with the photographer; who he/she is, what they value, how comfortable they make you feel, and how confident they make you feel. You will, undoubtedly, spend more time with your photographer than anyone else on your wedding day.
